Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrated with religious zeal

Hundreds of members of the Muslim community took part in the Eid Milad Un-Nabi processions taken out from Turbhe Naka, Ambedkar Nagar, Navi Mumbai on Sunday 4th January 2015 to mark the celebrations of Eid Milad Un-Nabi.

Celebrated on the 12th day of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar, Eid Milad commemorates the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad.

Religious fervour marked the celebrations with mass prayers being held at all mosques after which the procession began at 2:00 pm from Turbhe Naka and culminated at Gansoli Dargha by 10:00 p.m. Apart from the members of the muslim community, a few Hindu leaders also took part in the procession.

As the procession begin, Al-Madina Committee members; Aslam Qureshi, Ismail Qureshi, Nazim Qureshi, S.K. Faruki, Alim S.K, Shakeel Qureshi and Munna Qureshi greeted the ACP Shri Arun Walture, Executive President of Muslim Ekta Foundation Janab Salim Bhai, Alam Bhai, Ashraf Niyazi and Kawaja Patel.
